NSW:World record attempt begins on airwaves

ABC radio presenter RICHARD GLOVER has broken the world record for the longest ever interview.

GLOVER has been interviewing journalist and author PETER FITZSIMONS since 10am on Sunday
morning and is hoping to continue the interview until 10am tomorrow.

They two have so far discussed homesickness, America and GEORGE BUSH Senior, the Ballarat
gold rush and the techniques of modern historical research.

Only refreshment breaks of a few minutes are allowed every few hours.

The previous record of 12 hours and 30 seconds was achieved by Spain's PEDRO RUIZ in
Madrid in 2009.
