NSW: NSW National Party announce new line up

SYDNEY, Feb 1 AAP - The New South Wales National Party today named Duncan Gay as the
party's new leader in the Upper House.

Mr Gay, who is the state opposition's local government and energy spokesman, will take
over the reins from Richard Bull, who is retiring.

NSW National Party leader George Souris said Mr Gay would take on the role of spokesman
for the mineral resources portfolio and assistant spokesman for agriculture, as part of
a shadow cabinet reshuffle.

Mr Souris said Jenny Gardiner, the party's state general secretary for seven years,
would be given the fisheries and ports portfolios as well as becoming the opposition spokeswoman
for rural health.

The new line-up was finalised this morning.
